Our Mission
In collaboration with the campus community, the mission of the University Advisement Center (UAC) is to assist undergraduate students in achieving their educational goals.
We provide:
- A full range of excellent academic advising services
- Opportunities to explore academic areas of study
- An environment which fosters development of the decision-making process
After you have been admitted, academic advising begins at new student orientations for freshmen and transfer students. As an undergraduate student, you can also visit our office and take advantage of the full range of excellent services we offer as noted below.
Our Services
- Guidance on fulfilling your General Education (GE) and graduation requirements (other than major requirements).
- Assist you in developing realistic educational goals and a plan to achieve those goals.
- Help you understand and provide clarification on academic policies and procedures.
- Once you have achieved graduating senior status, we can provide you with your final GE Graduation check.
- If you are an undeclared/undecided student, we can provide you with assistance through the entire process of researching, selecting, or changing your major(s).
- We can refer you to the many resources and services available throughout our campus community.
- If you are experiencing academic difficulties or are placed on academic probation, we offer special academic counseling services to get you back on track.
We are here to serve all undergraduate students (Please note: If you are an EOP or EXCEL student, please contact your program advisor. Also, if you are a Liberal Studies major, please contact your Liberal Studies advisor).
