Assessments
Interpreted assessments are available online. Call the Career Development Center at (510) 885-3621 to schedule an appointment with a counselor (required prior to taking an interpreted assessment).
Strong Interest Inventory (SII)
The SII looks at your interests in a broad range of areas including school subjects, activities, people, and identifies occupations/majors where your interests could lead to a satisfying match.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The MBTI is a personality inventory that provides insight into several preference factors that are important in making a career decision.
Learn how your "preferences" affect how you interact with others, gather information, and make decisions relating to career choices. Career Counselors are trained to interpret results which can then help you clarify your career direction.
What are the differences between these assessments and which one should I take?
Cost:
Strong Interest Inventory -- $20
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator -- $20
Combined with booklets -- $40
(typically over $200 each if you took these assessments off-campus)
