Fall Quarter 2008

To apply for EOP admissions for Fall 2008, you must first apply to CSU East Bay using the online Undergraduate Application for admissions available at the CSU Mentor website. The CSU Undergraduate Application must be submitted with a $55.00 fee or fee waiver, if eligible. EOP at Cal State East Bay accepts applications for Fall Quarter (only) from October 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008.

Step 1. Apply for admission to Cal State East Bay

• Apply for admission electronically at www.csumentor.edu with $55.00 CSU application fee or fee waiver.
• Be sure to mark "Yes" on the CSU Application to apply for EOP services.
• Use the EOP link to access the EOP application and EOP Recommendation Forms
• Submit official high school and/or college transcripts, and SAT or ACT scores (if required)
• Call the Admission Status Line at (510) 885-2784 for your CSUEB admission status.

Step 2. Apply to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

You are encouraged to read the EOP information on CSU Mentor, submit the online EOP Application Information Form (#1) and submit two EOP Recommendation Forms for your counselor or teacher(s) to complete. (Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF format). When you submit the online CSU Admission Application and request EOP services, you will be directed to the CSU Mentor application to do the following:

• Submit the online EOP Applicant Information Form
• submit two online EOP Recommendation Forms (For your counselor or teacher(s) to complete)
• Proof of income may be required
• All special admit students are required to attend Summer Bridge
• Email: eopadmissions@csueastbay.edu for your EOP status
• Call the EOP Status Line at (510) 885-4683 for your EOP status

Step 3. Apply for Financial Aid 2008-2009 at CSUEB

• Go to the FAFSA website: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and submit the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2008-2009 between January 1, 2008 and March 2, 2008 for priority consideration.
• Don't forget to list the CSUEB code 001138 on your FAFSA.
• Call the Financial Aid Office at (510) 885-2784 for more information.
• ALL EOP APPLICANTS MUST FILE THE 2008-2009 FAFSA!!!!!!!
• Application for Financial Aid is a separate process from the EOP admission process.

Step 4. Take the CSU EPT/ELM Placement Tests

• If you have not taken a college level English and/or Math class, you are required to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and/or the Entry Level Math (ELM) test on one of the following dates.
• You will not be allowed to enroll if you have not met this requirement.
