Early Alert System
The earlier students are notified during the course of a term that they
are academically underperforming, the more time they will have to take
corrective action or officially withdraw from the course. Research shows
that institutions that are most successful with academically at risk
students are proactive in identifying them and intrusive in their intervention.
Early Alert is an easy to use student progress report that supports
student success. Early Alert objectives include:
- improving the quality of student work in class
- increasing student retention and progress to degree
- increasing FTE
- enhancing students’ awareness and use of campus support programs
- serving as an advising tool for faculty and staff advisors
