Parking Operations
The purpose of the CSUEB-UPD Parking and Traffic
Unit is to facilitate the safe, effective and efficient use of the parking
and traffic system of the Hayward and Contra Costa Campuses by addressing
engineering, education and enforcement factors that affect the system.
The unit is staffed by Parking Officers who are
non-sworn employees empowered to enforce state and campus parking regulations.
Parking Officers are primarily responsible for facilitating vehicle parking
on campus parking lots and roads by providing assistance and enforcing
regulations. Employees also provide traffic and crowd control during emergencies,
maintain equipment used in regulating the parking and traffic system and
assist with citation processing, information assistance, dispatching,
telephone operations.
